To edit these he uses the edit code feature (had to create a free admin account for him). Editing the code works fine, all the php tags throughout the document remain intact, the problem is when he goes to publish. The page also has some text and images that he can edit. When he goes to publish all of the php echo's are just written to the page as html, like you'd see in the source.</p> <p>So if he goes to edit the variables again, they don't work because the echo code no longer exists in the document.</p> <p>Another issue I'm having is when he edits a link to point towards another page on the site. Instead of just the url being displayed it's coming with something similar to http://cms.pagelime.comhttps://www.myurl.com/index.php</p> <p>I've also set up the page to have an editable image displayed on top of a hidden form submit input button, allowing my client to change the appearance of the button. You are concerned that if you make updates on the local version of the website and then upload (or put) the files onto the web it is going to overwrite all of the changes made by your customer?</p> <p>If this is the case you need to do the following. I always (get from) in the files window next to the (put to and synch) options before I make any changes. This pulls all of the updates that have occurred online through Page Lime into your local version. From here you can than make all of your changes and then re-upload (put to) your remote site.</p> <p>In a nutshell choose the (get from) option which updates your local version with all changes. Then make your changes and choose (put to) and it will place your new changes onto the net. You can even choose synchronize instead of put to. (I like this because it gives me the option to delete all files off of the remote site that are not on my local version. This prevents you from having a load of content in the folders of your remote site that are not being used any longer.</p> <p>I went in and visited your website.
