I was looking to let my users add/remove images also, as they feed a dynamic slideshow.

An easy way around it is to wrap your images in a div and make the div editable, add/remove images as you please :)

Hope this helps someone else!

Well - the fix passed all QA except for IE, so we have to jump back and fix for Internet Explorer, and add it to the release cycle. I'll post here once it's out.

So this is a bug - I guess none of the thousands of folks using Pagelime have ever tried to empty out an editable area before you :).

We have a fix that's currently in QA, so it will be a bit before it gets released to the production app. I'll post to let folks know once it's up.

Thanks for the catch Shoepepper!

Hi Emil

Yes... that's it.

I can delete all text in the HTML editor, it appears to work but then it comes back. I can only clear the text by inserting a period (.).

Hey Shoepepper - not sure I understand the issue with the text boxes clearing... are you talking about the WYSIWYG clearing all the content out of an editable area?

I overcome the issue with images by uploading a blank scan (white or background colour) or a generic graphic, all fix the problem easily.

My question is about editable text sections. I find that some text boxes will clear and some won't. This might have something to do with the way the original page is set up (BTW I'm using Softpress Freeway). Any advice or workarounds?

I would be very grateful for any information.

Nope. We tend to stay away from allowing for full on destructive changes like that. So many people have clients that should never be allowed near a delete button, so we've take a general stance that PageLime is a tool mostly for modification and creation. Very rarely is there any way for a user to completely remove something, without having access to the code editor.

Hope this helps. Trust we are doing this in your best interest. - Tom

I have some images set as editable that allow me to switch them out with other images, but is there a way to just delete the image from the page?

Thank you!!
