Hi all,

I thought some of the Pagelime users might be interested in an amazingly simple way to get a shop up and running for clients, called SimpleCart:

It gives a really simple way to get a small number of products online, and I'm sure it could be extended by anyone savvy in javascript. I've trialled it out on Pagelime with repeatable and editable regions, the only thing that isn't editable is the drop down menu to select sizes (hopefully Pagelime will allow modifying of forms at some stage).

It's open source, free, and easy to understand ... I'm already planning on using it for my next project!

Thanks Rob! This seams like another option for E-Commerce + Pagelime. I know a lot of our users are currently using FoxyCart as well. The more the merrier! - Tom

No problem! I'm not overly keen on FoxyCart, fine for designers but not for your average user it seems. I think there are better solutions for full-on ecommerce which are easier to maintain.

SimpleCart also saves messing about with html forms as it automatically uses the information from each product for Paypal or Google checkout button, so for a few products it's dead simple ... best of all, it's free!

I'm all ears for other options too ;)

Hey Everyone, On Sunday I was contacted by a client and they said the needed a shopping cart up by Monday.Since they needed this cart up so fast I went to the easiest solution I knew, Open Source Shopping Carts.
