Hi, I've spent the last few weeks sifting through tuts, blogs and reviews of every CMS I could find in order to find the best fit for me & my skills, those being HTML and CSS. Being a web designer and not a developer, I found many CMS's overly complex for me, unintuitive or badly designed. After giving up on Joomla, SIlverstripe, CushyCMS & MODx for various reasons, Pagelime came to my rescue! Congrats on sucha great job so far.
For my first website project with Pagelime, my client wants to be able to create and manage the staff user accounts on their own, so I was wondering if in "Users & Permissions," when editing what a user can access, if the option to create/edit/delete other users within their staff or group (I guess groups of users would be handy too?) would be possible.
I realise that in the paid plans, there is the ability to have more Pagelime admins, but that's not what I want. I'm the only one creating and managing the site for now at least, I just want clients to be able to manage their own staff users designated by me.
Also, I noticed that in "Users & Permissions" an avatar is attached to each user, I was wondering if there could be any control over these, such as gender, or even adding my own images. Perhaps this is already being incorporated into the blog module? Can't wait for that and the e-commerce module by the way. I'm sure they'll be great.
It would be awesome to be able to say, have the avatar and some brief details of a user accompany one of their posts, articles or pages for example. Something that could be useful outside of a blog module.
Besides adding more details to a user, such as role, adding them to a user group, and adding more things to control such as creating/editing other users, I think it would be great if the "branding of the interface" feature could be multifaceted.
Basically what I mean is, I'd like there to be at least two places in the interface where I can upload a logo, that way, when a client logs in to edit their site, they can see in one area, my logo, and in another part of the interface, they can see their own company logo. I think this really enhances the idea that the client is using unique, custom software, and makes it look like we the web designers, went the extra mile. An example of this is Basecamp.
Thanks for giving web designers like me, a powerful and beautifully designed CMS for our projects.
