I'd like to have an editable area that gets updated and is repeated on every page. Is this possible?
Can I have an editable area that repeats?

A repeatable region or one area that updates on all pages when you update it on one?
The first can be accomplished by setting the class like so class="cms-repeat cms-editable".
The second can be accomplished by using SSI includes, and enabling the "publish includes" feature in PageLime:
