can't add pages from sub directory

I am trying to set up a site so the client can edit the pages before the site goes live - so all the pages are in a sub directory called draft
I am having 2 problems
1) pagelime picks up index.html from root directory, even though I have specified the version in the draft folder in the site settings
2) I can't add any other pages through site map / add existing files - I can see the files, but when I try and add I get the error message
Value cannot be null. Parameter name: input

I have managed to do this fine with other domains on this host - I have no idea what the problem is here - help much appreciated!

I am having the same problem - with the same error message - on a new site added today. The site pages are equivalent as I have just moved the site to a new location. Serious problem as I cannot edit any pages.

I mananaged to get it working in the end - I looked again at the site settings, even though I had the correct path in the ftp settings, I had made a mistake with the path to the homepage - I put the correct path in the Site Home Page URL field and I could go ahead and make the edits
for example it should be something like this:
http://www.domainname.com/draft/index.html

so good idea to check the site settings to check the right paths are there for home page and ftp path
