Hi folks, my site features an image slider, based on images hiding and appearing.
Questions:
1. Whenever an editable image is beeing hidden my edit tags move to the very top of page. Can pagelime cope with hidden objects? Any way to hide tags for images that are hidden?
2. Adding entries. Is it possible to add images to my slider instead of editing?

Hi Carl - PageLime should handle hidden elements just fine. If your element is hidden, the bubble should be hidden as well, and when it is shown, the bubble should appear.
Is there a case where you're experiencing something different?

In a slideshow, as phroze describes and you might have already experienced, the hidden tags go to the top (or sometimes to the side) when they are not displayed. Pagelime sees they are hidden so puts them off to the top or side, there is no way for them to totally become hidden and unhidden.
You can however add entries to your slideshow by using repeatable regions.
Say you have a list based slideshow as most JQuery sliders/carousels are-
Simply put the cms-repeat tag on the last "li" item tag in the list. (On some slideshows you might have to put the "cms-editable" in addition to the "cms-repeat" class tag on the "li" to get the tag to show up, because of a bit of JS funk)
If you want to be able to order your entire slideshow- create a slideshow with only one li item that has the repeat tag and populate the slideshow within Pagelime, then you will be able to use the "promote" "demote" arrows to order the slides.

Hey Adam has pagelime been updated or have you all figured out another trick to the hidden images being pushed off to the side or the top? I'm having issues when I try to select part of the navbar within pagelime i can only pull up the hidden images in the slideshow.

Wow I just ran into this issue. I am also using an image rotator to act as a slider. When I use the CMS-REMOVE feature, it does stop the rotator but only the top image is visible.
With a little tinkering, I found the images are stacked via a position:absolute in the CSS. I guess if there was a way to change the css class via javascript then I would be good.
Is there a way to use something similar to a getElementById but for a class? Or is there a better solution? Better slider that just works?

Hey there: if you look at your BODY class inside pagelime, you will notice that it has a special CSS class only visible inside the Pagelime editor window: "cms-page-editor-preview"
assuming your image has some kind of class like below, use CSS like this to make it relative positioned ONLY inside Pagelime:
body.cms-page-editor-preview img.slider-image { position:relative; }
