We are able to place the image in the CMS fine and it looks okay in the editor, saves fine and goes through the publish, but does not display on the page.
I've tried deleting the image and re-uploading it, but that doesn't work. Not sure what we are doing wrong here and are new to the system. Any ideas?

I have the same issue... It works great for a while and suddenly the uploaded images are saved in root (not in cms-editable folder) so the path is wrong (no images displayed in frontend).
This is the second time I have this (second client). Can this be solved please??
Very annoying for me and my clients...
If no solution for this (or cause) I have to look for another cms as I want a decend system for my clients :/ (regarding maintaining photogalleries)

Note: I already deleted and uploaded the images again. I use different maps (maybe a map problem/bug?)/ images are plain jpg files.

Your issue doesn't seem to be the same thing.
Are you sure your FTP settings are correct on that site and haven't changed?
Also what do you mean you use different maps?

Hi Emil, I reviewed everything and it seemed that SFTP was checked (also for that other site). Tested and everything works again... so I hope this was the reason why the system acted so strange with galleries.
Also I hope that this explenation will help other fella pagelime users :)
