Hi,
When I hit publish after changing an image in the WYSIWYG all the images within the div take on the id (in this case id="image") of the div and src value is deleted.
What's going on here?

Hm - this is odd behavior. Do you have any scripts running on this page?
I have 2 tiny scripts
1) a slide show built with javascript that onclick cycles the images through the visible portion of a no-overflow div. It gets the width of the image so that it knows how far to shift the images in order to show the next.
2) a script that onload marks an item of the nav so that you know what you're viewing.
Sorry I just took an enormous vacation, but I'm still very interested in figuring this problem out. I don't feel like building everything over again on big fat Joomla.
