hi
I am using jquery orbit slider gallery on a clients website it doesn not use xml to update the gallery it juts uses a div section to place images in html file.

if i add the cms-editable tag to each image it works fine and the user can update each image as they would with static images using pagelime. whilst this works it can be a bit tedious for the client to wait for the slider to show the image they want and then click edit image. they must do this for each image. Also it doesn't allow them to add or remove any images. so its not ideal.

I would prefer to have them just overwrite the images they wish to either by the using xml pagelime gallery system.

or some how allow them to edit the source file and ftp the new images.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, completely open to suggestions as i am struggling with this gallery features with pagelime. cheers

hey Infinite... Can you post a link I believe I'm having the same issue with a slider i have on my clients website.

I didnt try setting each image as an editable options just the whole div that is holding the list. My issue is that even though the code seems to be in the right order the list bring the last image added to the front when it should be placed at the end.

I agree seeing more options on Sliders and how to use the XML with other sliders would help out a ton... or having a plug in pagelime with different slider options and contol over the slider transitions and which order the photos are in would really rock.

This slider issues have been the only thing that has continued to burn me.

to remove the jquery which allows the images to stack with edit bubbles better.

Thanks Azpilot unfortantly that doesnt remove the hidden images, it just stops the scrolling.

The issue is that the hidden images cover up some of the other editable areas and my client has to go to another page to make the edits. Its only one extra click but still would love to know how to keep from showing hidden images. Thanks

tgg, are the images editable also?

you could try a condition statement with a different stylesheet if viewing in pagelime...
```
if (!window.isCmsPageEditorPreview) {
  // use this stylesheet
} else {
  // use this stylesheet
}
```

thanks azpilot2211... that is an option but would like for the client to see the same layout as they would when just viewing the website outside of the CMS and I'm not the biggest fan of the extra work to just correct one issue. Thanks again!

Ah... you're mixing Javascript and CSS... just do this:

Because of the way the page is setup and the way the edit bubbles appear in the EDIT PAGE view, I was hoping to serve the page a different CSS file when viewed within the CMS - hence the 'else' statement would have been prefect!

The client wants to have control editing the thumbnails in his gallery but because of the size of them and their close proximity to each other, the edit bubbles go nuts - on this - have you ever noticed that if you remove a repeated region (in this case a column of images) , the edit/repeat bubbles don't refresh their position?

That would work the way you have it there.

The bubbles should refresh position. Which page is this happening on?
