Hi pagelime users!
I have emailed support but received no response (trying to manage a client deadline) so I am now turning to you for any tips. :D
I am setting up a website for a client. I used wordpress to create several static pages including a homepage that were consistent with the theme of her blog. I do not want the client to have access to edit these through wordpress because she is fully technologically inept. I have created a new wordpress log in for her with limited permissions so all she can edit is her own blog posts and comments and none of the pages or settings. I was thinking pagelime is much more friendly and she can use pagelime to edit specific content of my choosing on her static pages without messing everything up.
As you may or may not know, there is no easy to find index.html type flie in wordpress to use as the PL homepage setting.
Here is the problem I am running into with pagelime. I was able to configure the ftp correctly but the homepage selection is giving me an error. We could not connect to your Home Page URL, are you sure you entered it correctly. If this page is password protected, please provide a username and password on the Advanced tab in the Site Password Protection area.
In my directory there are a few index.php files but they seem to be loading parts of the wordpress theme and I still get the error above.
Any suggestions?
