David,
Try wrapping your scripts in a conditional statement like:
<!-- CMS:REMOVE -->
<script src="scripts/swfobject_modified.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<!-- CMS:END-REMOVE -->
either do that to the ones you don't need to edit, or try one at a time to see if you can find the problem code.
Let me know if that helps at all.
Also make sure your page validates (more or less), and that you close all of your editable tags correctly. If that doesn't work, post here again or shoot us an email and we'll take a look.
I have added the editable area to a basic blank Html page with no scripts ect..(code below) and uploaded the page here
www.livingbattlefield.org/test.html
and it still doesn't work, please help..I think it must be the site settings.
(<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
<title>Untitled Document</title>
</head>
<body>
<div id="clips">
<h3>
Administrator Login:</h3>
<div id="pagelime-text" class="cms-editable">Content for id "pagelime-text" Goes Here</div>
<p> </p>
<h3>
</h3>
</div>
</body>
</html>)
i tried that code on my site and it updated just fine for me, What is the error you are getting now?

Close Have Feedback?
have you tried a different browser? or clearing your cache? I see nothing wrong with your code.
Have tried on Mac & PC and 3 different browsers..and the same message when I go to publish.
Is it just this one page you can not update? or your entire site?
I have 3 pages including the basic test page and none will publish, I log in as administrator.
ahh ok, when you first setup your site with Pagelime, After you enter your FTP settings, there is a test button to check your FTP can be accessed. Did the test pass?
FTP works fine and I get the green tick but still same problem on publish page.
What host do you use? and is it standard ftp?
one.com, standard ftp
It could be a mismatch between your site settings url.
I would try to re-setup the site again and see if that works.
let me know.
