   Hey Guys,
   Hope I'm not beating a dead horse here, but I can't seem to find my answer.

   My clients site has the main (parent) menu along the top with all the secondary links loading onto a side menu. Obviously, each page therefore has a separate submenu. Is there a way for me to just load certain links (just the children/siblings) in my submenu --- using the navigation manager, of course. The primary links remain static.

   Currently I'm using the following structure: navigation-include, subnav1-include, subnav2-include, etc

   Does all that make sense?

   All your help is appreciated!!

   I tend to over explain and get confusing. LoL.

   Root menu along top. Side menu for secondary links. Pretty common.

   I believe I've figured out a way to make this work....

   That being said... I need to add unique ids to the containing divs:

   Here's my code for the nav manager showing where I would like to generate the id:

   -----------------------

   #foreach( $navItem in $navItems )

   <div id=""> <!-- UNIQUE ID ON THIS DIV -->
   $navItem.Title
   #if ($navItem.ChildNodes.Count > 0)

   #foreach( $subNavItem in $navItem.ChildNodes )
   • $subNavItem.Title

   #end

   #end
   </div>
   #end

   -----------------------

   Is it possible to add unique ids to my divs? (that won't change on the locked nodes every time the navigation is published) Fingers crossed.

   Okay.... So I keep answering myself. Totally bad forum form. But I've come up with a jQuery solution that does not require unique ids and I think this way is actually better. There may be better ways yet, but I'm not very good with code, so this is what I've come up with.

   --

   Here's what I've done to show only the section of the menu that relates to the page I'm on:

   -- Navigation Manager Settings:

   <div class="rootItem">
   $navItem.Title
   #if ($navItem.ChildNodes.Count > 0)

   #foreach( $subNavItem in $navItem.ChildNodes )
   $subNavItem.Title
   #end

   #end
   </div>
   #end

   -- jQuery:
   $(".cms-navigation div.rootItem").hide(); //Hide all navigation
   $('.cms-navigation a[href$="' + window.location.pathname + '"]').parents('div.rootItem').show(); //Show current page navigation

   -----------------------

   All of this is written in such a way that is fully accessible, so for those that have their js turned off, they'll see the entire navigation structure.
